In compliance with the obligations deriving from national and EU legislation regarding the protection of personal data, this website respects and protects its visitors and users’ privacy.
This being stated, in compliance with the obligations deriving from the Italian “Privacy Code” (Legislative Decree 30.6.2003 n. 196) still in force and from the EU Regulation n. 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”) regarding personal data protection, this site, owned by Alessandra Perini, respects and protects its visitors and users’ privacy.
Personal data tracking, and therefore the consent to data collecting and processing, is optional and you can deny and revoke any consent which has been previously given, at any time. However, denying consent may make it impossible to provide certain services and the browsing experience on the website may be compromised.
In accordance with the procedures and the limits laid down by the GDPR, you can:
- deny in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, data processing to send advertising material and direct sales or to carry out market researches or commercial communication;
- request confirmation of the actual existence and storage of your data;
- know where they were tracked from;
- receive clear and intelligible communication;
- receive information about the logic, methods and purposes of your data processing;
- request at any time data cancellation, updating, rectification and integration – where technically possible -, anonymization and blocking, if collected illegally, including data no longer required for the purposes they were collected for;
- more generally, exercise all the rights recognized by the current legal provisions.
Requests are to be addressed to the Data Controller.
Users/customers’ personal data are an important component of my work and the transfer to third parties is not included in my activities.
However, this website, in pursuing its activities and the services required by users, may need to transfer information to third parties who perform specific tasks for the website. Suppliers can access solely the data required to carry out their specific task(s). In the event of data transfer to companies located outside the European Union, I will ensure they will be transferred in compliance with current legislation, particularly with the rules established by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data transfer is authorized based on specific decisions of the European Union and the national (Italian) Data Protection Authority (DPA), as explained here, so no further consent is required.
This website may share some of the data with services located outside the European Union (see below the specifications about all the external services used). The transfer is authorized based on specific decisions of the European Union and the national (Italian) DPA, so no further consent is required.
This website treats users’ data in a lawful and correct manner, taking all the necessary security measures to prevent unauthorized data access, disclosure, modification or unauthorized destruction. Data processing is carried out with IT and/or telematic tools, following organizational and logical methods strictly related to the purposes described.
My newsletter is sent on a monthly basis but, in case of any announcement regarding my services, the frequency may vary. Inside my newsletter you will find expat life tips and how to approach and overcome the moments of transitions in our life, as well as coaching assignments aimed at gaining greater life balance. In case of the launch of a new service or a special offer, newsletter subscribers will be the first to be notified via email and they will also be entitled to special discounts. I also notify subscribers about my courses (free and paid).
Contact form and data entered in comments or contacts
You can contact me either via email or by using the different contact forms on my website (you will be asked to provide your name and email address only); I will use that information to send you a reply. Your data will be stored in my email archive (Gmail) and on my website host Webmail archive (Siteground). If you leave a comment under my blog posts, your data will be stored on the website’s database (hosted on Siteground) and in my backups. I am the Owner and the Data Controller, and I will not share your data with anyone else or any third party unless you authorize me to do so.
I use Google Analytics and Search Console to collect metrical and demographical data about how many people visit my website, how many pages are opened, where readers come from and which topics they are most interested in. Google Analytics and Search Console are two free tools provided by Google. I have set up Google Analytics so that your IP address is anonymized (Google allows you to do so only partially), by resetting the last part of the address. All information acquired by Google Analytics is transmitted to Google and stored on its servers in the United States. Google examines the use of the site by all visitors and returns the data as aggregate and anonymous. Your identity will never appear on its analytical and statistical reports. Google may transfer this information to third parties, if required by law, or in the case of third parties collecting data on its behalf;
Analytics allow me to better understand your browsing and content preferences and to improve my blog content. If you do not want your data to be collected, not even in a partially anonymous form, by this or other websites linked to Google Analytics, you can download the dedicated add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics: it works with the most common browsers, and you can download it for free on Google.
If you also wish to disable this type of data collection, you can disable Google Analytics tracking by installing the appropriate component provided by Google (opt out) on your browser. To disable Google Analytics data collection, follow the procedure at this link.
Purchase of services
If the service includes one-on-one mentoring, I will use softwares like Skype or Zoom, for calls and video calls and Trello to share our workflow and manage our projects. I do not automatically subscribe my clients to my newsletter, even if I technically could; I will keep my clinets’ data confidential, and I will talk about them on my blog only after informing them.
I use Zoom to record video interviews and for one-on-one or group calls. Videos are temporarily stored on my Zoom account and will not be shared with any third parties. At the same time, Zoom will save a copy of the video(s) on my computer. My website, as already mentioned, is hosted on Siteground, which provides me of its databases and webmail services.
